Day 1: Welcome Peru
As your plane lands to Peru's capital Lima, your driver will wait for you at the Lima airport and take you to the hotel where you can meet your fellow travellers. You will spend the night in Lima.
Day 2: Lima City Tour
After breakfast, together with your guide, you will begin your exploration of Peru's capital Lima.
Modern Lima: you will visit the district of Miraflores to explore the famous Parque del Amor (Love Park), offering a beautiful view of Lima’s coast and the Pacific Ocean, followed by a panoramic view of Huaca Pucllana.
Historic Lima: you will visit the historic center of the city, declared a Cultural World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1991. You will spend the night in Lima.
Day 3: Flight to Cusco City
After breakfast, you will take a 1.5 hour flight from Lima to Cusco and spend the day exploring the city but also take the opportunity to acclimatize to the local high altitude. You will visit Cusco’s Main Square (Plaza de Armas), San Pedro Market and San Blas neighborhood. You will spend the night in Cusco city.
Day 4: The Sacred Valley
After breakfast, you will drive through the Sacred Valley also known as "Wilcamayo" to the Incas, the valley has been a source of livelihood for the locals for hundreds of years. You’ll see maize crops covering the terraced walls and the sacred river beneath. By the afternoon, you will arrive at the town of Ollantaytambo, where you will spend the night.
Day 5: Machu Picchu
After breakfast, you’ll catch a 1.5-hour train from Ollantaytambo through the winding Urubamba Valley to Aguas Calientes, the city nestled in the cloud forest at the foot of Machu Picchu. And then hop on a bus (approximately 30 minutes) to arrive to Machu Picchu and absorb the magnificence of the Seventh Wonder of the World. You will return to Ollantaytambo for an overnight sleep.
Day 6: The Rainbow Mountain
Today you will drive (3.5 hours) to the Rainbow Mountain to enjoy hiking on the mountains and take in the scenery of the surrounding colourful mountains. After a delicious lunch, take a journey (3 hours) to Cusco for an overnight stay.
Day 7: Journey Back to Lima
After breakfast, you will arrive take a short flight from Cusco to Lima where the driver will take you to your hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring Lima.
Day 8: Farewell Peru
Your driver will take you to the Lima Airport to catch your flight.
